I'll be referring to this story on Sunday...be sure to set your clocks ahead 1 hour on Saturday night so you don't miss it! I'll be sharing a MAJOR VISION SNAPSHOT and you definitely want to be there! The next Sunday...I'll actually be preaching from this text....here are some highlights.

"One day Peter and John were going to the temple to pray...Now a man crippled from birth was being carried to the temple gate called Beautiful, where he was put every day to beg, from those going into the temple courts. When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for money. Peter looked straight at him, as did John. Then Peter said, "Look at us!" So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them. Then Peter said, "Silver and gold I do not have, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth walk."
  • Most people are not looking at the church for help.
  • Most churches are afraid to say, "Look at us!"
  • Most people don't give the church much attention.
  • Most people don't expect to get anything from the church.
  • Most people think the church has nothing to offer them.
  • Most churches haven't put the lessons of this passage into practice...we will be...this Easter...don't miss it!
