Wow! What a great day at BridgeWay today. Today was our rescheduled date for Praise in the Park, and we had an amazing day. Some of the highlights from the day:

  • Amazing weather today! I'm totally shocked that we had the weather we did for late October. I think if you had asked me two weeks ago if I thought we'd actually be able to pull off an outdoor service on October 21st, I'd have told you I had my doubts. But we had 80+ degree weather, sunny skies, and great breezes....what a perfect day for an outdoor service, BBQ and games.
  • Thank you to all of you who invited friends and family to come out for today's service. As I shared in my message, over 70,000 people live in our area who don't regularly attend church anywhere...you're doing a great job of pointing people to Jesus Christ!
  • I'm totally excited to be a part of a church with such a great team of VOLUNTEERS! YOU are the reason we are able to do what we do to reach people! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! Thank you for letting God use you and your unique gifts and abilities to point people to Jesus.
  • So many great conversations with people who were visiting our church for the first time today! I heard things like, "I can't believe there's a place where I feel this at home." "It feels like family here." "I know this is where God wants me to be." "This is the place I want to be." "I'm going to be bringing my family back next week!"
  • We had over 260 people join us for the worship service at 10:30, and a total of 315 that attended some part of today's outreach event. Wow! It's so good to be a part of BridgeWay.
  • My mom and sister drove into town this weekend just to be with us this morning for Praise in the Park. It was good to have them stay with us and get to see what is happening first hand at BridgeWay!
  • I'm totally psyched about next week's worship gathering and our new series "Makin' Noise". We are going to really surprise some people next week, and you will not want to miss all the excitement. God is going to blow our minds this next year, as we work together to Make Some Noise in 2008. Be sure to make it a point to be there and to invite someone to come with you.

I love our church!
