Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed." (NIV)

Proverbs 16:3 "Put God in charge of your work, then what you've planned will take place." (Message)

There is a big difference between doing something and then asking God's blessing on it, and commiting myself and my plans to God an then taking action. I'm inspired by this passage to continue to commit my way and my plans to the Lord, because it is then that those plans will succeed.

What plans are you making? Have you committed them to God and looked for his voice, or have you made plans and then looked for God's blessing?

I love the first verse of Proverbs 16. "To man belong the plans of the heart, but from the Lord comes the reply of the tongue." The message version puts it this way, "Mortals make elaborate plans, but God has the last word." Let's let God have the last word.
