The Mentor Leader

Your only job is to help your players play better.

Leadership is about helping those who you lead.

Stubbornness is a virtue if you're right.

We're going to win, but football isn't the most important thing.

We have to be available to mentor.

If you're looking for a mentor, approach people who you admire...you can be mentored from a distance: read books, etc...

It's interesting how a 5 minute conversation with a mentor can change your life.

A mentor doesn't always have to be an icon...sometimes just people who are a few steps ahead of you or behind you.

Informal mentoring is often more powerful than intentionally scheduled mentoring.
