I've always been a Smashing Pumpkins fan...that is until the most recent version of the band which is pretty much just Billy Corgan calling himself Smashing Pumpkins...what most people would call a "vanity project".

All that to say, this blog is not a vanity project. At it's core my blog has always been, and will always be a way for me to share what God is doing in my life, my family and the life of the church I lead. It's my hope that it will provide an additional outlet for people to interact with me, especially as our church grows larger.

So because of this I finally dropped the 10 bucks to buy daleschaeffer.com. Don't go thinking I'm an ego maniac...I just wanted to make it easier for people to find my little piece of virtual real estate. Let me know what you think of the new header...or if you have any suggestions for the site. Thanks for reading!

New header looks good Dale! Billy Corgan??? Well I guess it's no worse than me admitting I like the Carpenters. : ) I look forward to continuing to read your thoughts and reflections and expressing mine.

vanity project? you seem to overlook the fact that Jimmy C. is still in the band and the rest of the new musicians take all the material (new and old) very seriously and perform them all excellently.

    ???...yeah, Jimmy's great...I still think Billy's a bit self-indulgent.
