Proverbs 22:2 "Rich and poor have this in common: The Lord is the Maker of them all."

What an encouragement to know that God is not concerned with the things the world is concerned with. The world looks at our wealth, our status, our retirement portfolio, our upward mobility; but God is the Creator of both the poor and the rich. God is more concerned with making us and shaping us into what he wants us to become, than he is with seeing us become famous or wealthy.

I love that regardless of my financial state, God takes time for me. He took as much time creating me as he did Donald Trump, or Bill Gates. He is as concerned about my salvation as he is any other person he created. He is as concerned with my struggles, my temptations, my purpose, and my destiny as he is with any other leader in the world.

Stop for just a few minutes on dwell on the truth that you matter to God and he cares for you.
