Okay, so it's the first day of 2010.  One decade has come to an end and a new one has been birthed.

I've lived three full decades, and half of another.  I've spent my decades the following ways:

1970's - Childhood...biggest accomplishment: potty training...woot!

1980's - Early Education...biggest accomplishment: reading & writing...yup it's pretty important stuff.

1990's - Higher Education...two major accomplishments & two life changing decisions: high school graduation, college graduation, choosing to follow Jesus and getting married & becoming a father...the 90's shaped my life more than any other decade.

2000's - Ministry & Family...biggest accomplishments: starting in full-time ministry, seeing my two youngest daughters born, planting a church, and growing as a husband and father.

2010's - While I don't know what the future holds, I'm pumped about where God is leading.  I'm praying that  I'll become a better husband, father, and leader; and that I'll grow more into the person that God has planned for me to be. One thing I'm sure of is that we all had better hold on because I truly believe the best is yet to come!

So how about you?  What are some of the mile markers from your past decades?  What are you looking forward to in the 2010's?  And is it "twenty-ten" or "two-thousand-ten"?  I'm a "twenty-ten"er myself.
