What I liked about this weekend:
* No ice on the roads! Seriously, I was worried when the roads were covered on Saturday night, but it was all melted off by morning...good stuff.
* The great stories I keep hearing of how people are simplifying their Christmas to be a part of Advent Conspiracy and providing clean drinking water for people who are very literally dying for clean water.
* Getting to preach on Simeon's story in Luke 2:22-35...never preached on it before and there's a powerful principle there that has the power to relieve a lot of the pressure you feel.
* What principle? "Do what the Lord tells you to do"...pretty simple stuff.
* The band performing the song "Better Days" by the Goo Goo Dolls...great little Christmas song.
* Loved seeing how quick the Christmas Eve tickets went...we only had about 8 tickets left at the start of the 11am service (I guess it's true what they say about the early bird).
* Don't worry...we'll be adding a 3rd Christmas Eve service at either 6:30 or 7pm...you can get tickets this Sunday, December 20th! (I'd recommend coming early)
* Getting to hear another awesome story today from someone who took the Tithe Challenge!
* Getting our iTunes podcast up! You can subscribe to it here!
* That I'm now 3 weeks into my new schedule and fitness plan, and I've only missed 1 day of exercise!
* That I had to add another hole to my belt for the 2nd time in 3 weeks!
* Getting to take Chuck & Rhonda out to lunch after worship...it's been a blast serving God with you guys for the last 5 years!
* Getting to play my favorite party game "Catch Phrase" at the Celebrate Recovery Christmas Party.

What I didn't like about this weekend:
* Hearing about some of the problems some of our congregation had to deal with this past week.
* The stink that came from the trash can in the lobby of the theater after church! Seriously, I'm pretty sure the can hadn't been changed in 3 weeks or more...dang!
* Having to put a few hundred dollars into car repairs for the 2nd time in the last 4 weeks...ouch!
* Really that's about it.

What I'm looking forward to this week:
* Christmas Eve Sarajevo! Seriously, don't be late to church next Sunday & BRING A FRIEND!
* Likely "selling" out our 3rd Christmas Eve service! Wow!
* Partying with our LifeGroup tonight!
* Taking the family out to look at Christmas Lights and picking up some Carmel Apple Cider from Starbucks!
