I definitely missed being at BridgeWay this morning. I love the people of our church and miss being away from them even for one Sunday.

Since I wasn't at BridgeWay, I attended Highland Park Church of the Nazarene in Lakeland Florida. Highland Park is a large church with about 1,500 in weekly worship. One of their worship venues is a modern rock service called HP3. I attended HP3 today.

As great as the music was, I gotta say that I love the passion and heart that our bands at BridgeWay bring to worship.

The teacher at HP3 taught on Encouraging Others and Challenging Others today. This is an area that I believe God is challenging me in as a leader.

After worship at HP3, my grandfather and I were able to go to a Detroit Tigers' spring training game after the rain cleared off.

Some of the highlights from the game were:

Actually getting to see a Tigers spring training game with my grandfather. The Tiger are my first baseball love because of my grandfather's influence.

Seeing 3 home runs in the first inning.

Buying a Detroit away cap to replace the one I lost on our Mission Trip to New Orleans back in 2007.

Getting even more sunburnt than I already was from the game we watched on Saturday.

Watching the Tigers win 5-4 after almost blowing the lead in the top of the 9th.

I've got 2 more days of vacation and then I'll be heading back to Illinois. It's been great, and I am so glad I took the time to spend with my grandfather. I'd encourage you to find a way to make time to create some memories with the people you love.

As excited as I am to see everyone at BridgeWay, I'm even more excited to see the 4 most important girls in my life Tuesday night!

See ya'll next Sunday!
